The location of the car wash drew the ire of a nearby resident, concerned about the noise and light pollution from the business and its proximity to a residential location.
Cameron Baldwin, Phoenix Construction operations manager, said they worked with city staff to develop the vision of the project. Trails were a big part of the development as it connects to neighbourhood trails. When Timber Ridge is fully built out, the business complex will be surrounded by residences and connecting trails. Other buildings will be built to accommodate health and medical facilities, merchandise stores and restaurants, potentially with a rooftop patio. The Tim Hortons features a lengthy drive-thru lane. As a result, a number of the buildings are being built to suit the businesses. The development does have confirmed tenant including Tim Hortons, a Solo Liquor Store and a Fas Gas gas station, C-store and car wash. Red Deer Municipal Planning Commission approved Wednesday morning the eight-building commercial development at the intersection of 55th Street and Thomlinson Avenue in the east Red Deer neighbourhood.
Public Transit – Clearview has public transit now, and you can click here for a link to the schedule – runs every day but Christmas and New Years, and costs $2.00 per rider (under 4 years of age ride free.A strip mall in Timberlands will bring new businesses including a Fas Gas car wash and, potentially, a Tim Hortons. Solar and Wind Energy: Regulated under the Green Energy Act, however, Clearview has policies in place as well. Garden Suites, and Granny flats could be permitted in Agricultural or Rural zones, but they require a Temporary Use Bylaw (a legal agreement allowing for occupancy for a finite amount of time, and with security for removal of the suite.) In rural zones, the accessory apartment can be in the building or can be detached from the building, with some requirements to be met. Yes! Accessory Apartments are allowed in single detached residences with some requirements.
